Gaelic Football
The school particpates in the Sciath na Scol every year. The children always enjoy the competition and Urhan NS has a proud record in it.

The Beara Challenge
Urhan NS, Tuosist NS and Lauragh NS take part in a competition called The Beara Challenge every year. Last year it was held in Eyeries pitch and this year, it was held in Lauragh pitch. At the beginging of the day, eight teams are formed with students from each school on every team. The teams play in two groups and the winner of each group play a final match. It is wonderful fun, especially because each school is guaranteed to have winners of the competition going home on the bus!

Other
Other sports include athletics, basketball, yard games, other field team events, orienteering and general fitness training.
